Germany: The nationwide seven-day incidence has dropped to 35.2. As reported by the RKI on Sunday morning, 3852 new infections and 56 deaths related to the virus were registered within one day.
Health offices in Germany have reported 3852 new Corona infections to the Robert Koch Institute (RKI) within one day. By comparison, the figure a week ago had been 6714 infections. The RKI gave the seven-day incidence on Sunday morning with nationwide 35.2 (previous day: 37.5; previous week: 64.5).
Across Germany, 56 new deaths were recorded within 24 hours, according to the data. A week ago, there had been 82 deaths.
The RKI counted 3,679,148 confirmed infections with Sars-CoV-2 since the beginning of the pandemic, but the actual total number is likely to be significantly higher, as many infections are not detected.
The RKI reported the number of people who recovered as 3,478,600. The number of people who died from or with the involvement of a confirmed infection with Sars-CoV-2 is now given as 88,406.
